About Villa Camigliano

Set in the foothills in the village of Camigliano, 8 kilometers east of the Lucca wall, this large country home overlooks vineyards, olive groves, oak woods, and the mountains of Pisa in the distance. Camiglian produces its own wine and olive oil. Located in the area of the famed Villa Torrigiani and Villa Bruguier, Villa Camigliano was part of the country property of Lord Paolo Guinigi, ruler of Lucca in the 15th century.

Villa Camigliano is located on the Strada del Vino, a scenic, hilly road winding through wine and olive oil estates as well as numerous locally owned traditional Tuscan restaurants where you can relax and dine after a day of sight-seeing.

The Villa is withing walking distance of a village grocery store, and is convenient for day trips to Lucca (15 minutes), Pisa's Leaning Tower and the ocean-side beaches of Viareggio (40 minutes), or Montecatini, the famous spa town (20 minutes). Villa Camigliano is also just 45 minutes by car from Florence, though you may prefer to drive your car to the nearby train station and enjoy a pleasant one-hour train ride to the Florence station in the center of town, avoiding both traffic jams and parking problems. Villa Camigliano is about an hour and 15 minutes from Siena.
